Big burr power packed into compact form
Original KEY grinder integrates an 83mm conical burr set into an exceptionally compact, space-saving design. With its width defined by the burrs and mount rather than excess housing, KEY occupies only a fraction of the space required by grinders using much smaller burrs. Despite its minimalist footprint, it delivers professional-level performance, making it ideal for home baristas and single-dosing cafés alike. Designed by the engineers behind iPod nano, every element has been carefully considered—from the refined ergonomics to the sleek form, resulting in a grinder that balances precision with practicality.
Small frame, big grind. KEY unlocks flavour.
Precision redefined: Smarter, faster, sleeker
Mk.2 version brings meaningful upgrades to workflow and usability while maintaining the same compact footprint. It features a refined adjustment mechanism, improved ergonomics, and seamless compatibility with existing accessories. Massive 83mm Mazzer-sourced burrs, pre-seasoned and TiN-coated, deliver peak performance straight out of the box. Tumbler configurations remain interchangeable with the HG-2 hand grinder.
- Easy-access RPM adjustment knob

Features
50% Increased Torque: The Mk. II delivers a 50% torque boost over its predecessor, thanks to a redesigned gearing system and higher-current power supply. It grinds effortlessly through light roasts—and even green coffee (not recommended)—at fine settings and as low as 30 RPM.
Magnetic Dust Cover: A knurled, redesigned magnetic cover now tops a 30% larger loading chamber (~40g capacity). The two-part cover lifts apart or stays magnetically suspended while loading, then drops cleanly into place to contain stray coffee fragments.
Customisable Wood Accents: The Mk. II comes with oak wood accents as standard, but the platen and brush handle can easily be swapped for walnut or teak to match a variety of interior styles.
Integrated Bean Feeder: Now built into the grinder body, the bean feeder ensures even loading throughout the grind. A bottom bearing maintains factory alignment with no need for user adjustment.
Updated Magic Tumbler: The improved Magic Tumbler includes anti-static plates and a replaceable paper wiper, bringing grind retention to under 0.1g—below the range of most coffee scales.
83mm Mazzer Conical Burrs: High-performance 83mm Mazzer burrs come factory-aligned, partially pre-seasoned, and sealed with a food-safe TiN coating. Rated for 5,000kg of grinding—more than a lifetime of use.
Integrated Cleaning Brush: Includes a solid oak handle, brass ferrule, and hidden magnet to keep it securely in its cubby. The screw-in brush head is fully replaceable for long-term maintenance.
5-Micron Stepped Adjustment: The easy-to-use adjustment dial moves in precise 5-micron increments, from ultra-fine for Turkish coffee to coarse for pour-over.

Mastering the KEY: Magic Tumbler Wiper, Cleaning & Daily Workflow
Magic Tumbler Wiper Installation
The Key with Magic Tumbler will arrive with the Magic Tumbler installed, but not the integrated Weiss Distribution Technique (WDT) wiper. We've put together the following video to help with installation. You'll need the included 5mm Hex Key included in the box, the included stainless steel retaining washer, the wiper itself, and a bit less than 5 minutes.
Key Workflow
Designed for seamless workflow, it offers consistent grind quality essential for a superior coffee experience. Routine cleaning and maintenance are straightforward, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
Maintenance and Cleaning
The KEY has been designed from the start to be both simple and easy to clean. No tools, and a full clean in seconds, not hours.
The upper funnel can be lifted away to reveal the top of the burr set. A few strokes with the brush that's always ready to deploy removes any stray coffee grounds. The lower funnel is held in place by 12 strong rare earth magnets and can be removed with a simple twist of the wrist. Once exposed, the lower burrs can be brushed clean in seconds.
We believe that a good product is a clean product, and designing them to be easy to clean is fundamental to improving the quality of your coffee and the hygiene of your countertop.
