Formulated by specialist eco-cleaning producer Cafetto, the Cafetto LOD Black Liquid Descaler (500ml) is a fast-acting, professional-grade liquid engineered to tackle severe hard water limescale and mineral deposits in espresso machinery.
Featuring a powerful concentrated blend, it rapidly dissolves stubborn calcium buildup from boilers, heating elements, and water tanks to restore optimal water flow and maintain precise temperature stability. Ideal for heavy-use environments where severe scale threatens machine reliability, it extends operational lifespan without leaving residual odours or aftertastes (Note: Not recommended for use on aluminium).
Instructions
- Ensure the left white cap is tightly sealed and slightly loosen the right white cap. Gently squeeze the bottle until the reservoir measures 100mL, remove the left cap and pour from the reservoir.
- Add 1 litre cold water to prepare descaling solution.
- Follow the machine manufacturer’s instructions to decalcify, de-lime or descale the machine.

Always rinse the machine at least twice with fresh water after decalcifying and before re-filling and reusing the machine.
